Prof. George Uchenna Eleje

Biography

Prof. George Uchenna Eleje (MBBS, MSc, Ph.D., MD, FMCOG, FWACS, FICS) is a Professor and Honorary Consultant in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Nnamdi Azikiwe University and Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi, Nigeria. He serves as the Head of the Effective Care Research Unit and as the Editor-in-Chief of the Tropical Journal of Medical Research. He is also the Chairman of the Anambra State Ministry of Health Research Ethics Committee (ASMOHREC) and previously served as Director of the Grants Development and Management Office at Nnamdi Azikiwe University. His clinical and research endeavors focus on maternal-fetal medicine, cervical cancer screening and epidemiology, reproductive health, and evidence-based clinical trials in low-resource settings.
