Erhan OKTAY

Biography

He served in the Turkish Armed Forces General Staff, G.A.T.A/F.Y.O. Military Student Command. He graduated from the Faculty in 1988 and joined the Turkish Armed Forces General Staff, Land Army, Health Class, as a commissioned officer with the rank of Medical Lieutenant. During his service in the Turkish Armed Forces, he published 38 articles in the journals of the institution he worked for, covering general, professional, and current topics. He retired from the Gülhane Military Medical Academy of the General Staff in 2017 after completing his professional service. Following his retirement, he worked as a lecturer and instructor at universities, served as an expert witness in military, criminal (civil) and administrative cases in the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Justice, wrote articles on various topics for many local newspapers, and worked as a sports commentator on television sports programs, and also participated in various TV programs to which he was invited.
Dr. Erhan OKTAY has served in various NGOs, including the Turkish Football Federation (TFF), Turkish Athletics Federation (TAF), Turkish Youth Sports Association (TYGD), Ankara Branch of the Turkish Sports Journalists Association (TSYD), Skoda Fun Club, Turkish Public Health Association, and DİEEF, through courses and seminar presentations. He has participated in seminars on "Substance Addiction and Effective Ways to Combat Addiction" at various organizations and delivered presentations. Dr. Erhan OKTAY holds a Specialist Gold Diver Sportsman license and certificate from the Underwater Sports Federation. He has participated in international and national biochemistry congresses. He has presented posters and conducted review and publication studies related to his field of expertise. In addition to his public service, he has completed his Medical Biochemistry Specialization and Doctoral studies at Erciyes University Institute of Health Sciences and Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, alongside national and international courses, seminars, conferences, and congresses to further his professional and personal development.
